Daylite Delivery 1.1 complies with Apple's latest security changes. Daylite 3.7.3 syncs offline and online databases from 5 to 10 times faster and adds the new ability to archive or strip email, letter and note attachments
TORONTO ON - 29 April 2008 - To comply with Apple's latest security measures, Marketcircle Inc. has re-written Daylite Delivery, the Daylite add-on that generates, pre-schedules and delivers reports automatically by email. Daylite Delivery 1.1 improves email reliability and security, in addition it offers new support for sending emails via SSL and built-in Apple Help.
Daylite Delivery 1.1 also offers:
* Improved email distribution by way of a new SSL enabled SMTP library and also allows for delivery via Apple Mail if desired
* Tools that make setup easier, such as the ability to send test emails and to run reports at any time
* New and more detailed logs to help track down and isolate any specific problems
* Generated reports are now archived and organized by type and by date for easy comparison over long periods of time
* A new update notification system that informs the administrator of new versions
* Updates can be downloaded and installed right from within the application
Daylite 3.7.3 also launches today with a fast sync system that vastly improves offline syncs depending on specific changed data and the network connection. When choosing the "sync to online database" option, Daylite 3.7.3 syncs offline and online databases from 5 to 10 times faster. Daylite 3.7.3 also adds the ability to archive or strip email, letter and note attachments. This feature reduces the database size, improves backup, search, and startup performance. The archiving mechanism substitutes links in the text that point to the attachment location on an AFP (Apple File Share) volume.
Other Daylite 3.7.3 improvements include:
* The ability to display multi-day appointments in the calendar (in addition to multi-day events)
* Improved input entry in the time fields for appointments and the scheduler
* Faster merging with Word 2004 for Mac and compliance with the full set of keys available to internal letter merge and Word 2008 for Mac
* The ability to detect and repair the quick find index when it is out of date
* Improved support for unicode characters in text imports
