Best Free Single User CRM & Free Contact Management Software.

These are some of the best free CRM products for small business out there. Mostly for Single Users, these free CRM 'carrots' are there to entice you to upgrade to their more full blown, or multi-user versions, which is fair enough, but the free CRM products mentioned below are capable enough in their own rights.

As a consultant, micro business or entrepreneur, these free CRM solutions are often adequate for your requirements.

BEST FREE SMALL BUSINESS CRM SOLUTIONS

• Mx-Contact. Recommended. Outlook based CRM that is fully scalable to match your companies growth. MxContact assist you with managing a contact list of some kind, whether it be customers, prospects, members, suppliers or whatever. MX-Contact is a CRM, Contact Management and Sales Automation package that runs inside Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002/3 or 7.

• ZohoCRM. Recommended. Zoho CRM empowers organizations with a complete relationship lifecycle management solution for managing organization-wide Sales, Marketing, Customer Support & Service and Inventory Management in a single business system. Their Free CRM is for 3 users, additional users pay a mere $12 p/m..

• FreeCRM. Recommended. FreeCRM. This best value-for-money hosted CRM solution compares very favourably with the big price ticket webased CRM vendors like SalesForce. And their single user online crm is still free. Read our review of FreeCRM or check FreeCRM website.

• SalesForce. Probably the best known online CRM solution, particularly in the Small Medium Business CRM space, SalesForce also offers a free CRM solution - SalesForce Personal Edition for the single sales rep. You have access to most of SalesForce CRM features, and if you later want to share info like calendars and tasks you can upgrade to the SalesForceGroup, Enterprise or Professional Editions. Please note: Their "free" link above no longer seems to work.. hmm.. we will investigate.
• UCAP (Up Close & Personal). (discontinued? )Recommended. UCAP is another relatively new player in this market but is fast building up a stream of loyal users. UCAP is a well designed small business CRM & office management tool. It includes all the bells and whistles and batteries, too! Their Single User CRM version is still FREEware. Pricing is approx. $350 per user for a 10 license. They have also released a UCAP CRM VOIP version. Great service company that has always responded promptly to our queries.

BEST FREE CONTACT MANAGERS

• EssentialCRM. Recommended. Their free Contact Manager Basically serves you as a Scheduler, Contact Manager, and Outliner, and is a completely free CRM solution, although they also offer pay Contact Manager versions (surprise). If you are on a No Budget diet, you could safely consider EssentialCRM. Later on, if necessary, you can always upgrade to their PRO version, or export your data to something more sophisticated if required.

• KeepM. Keepm is a free, simple web based, contact management tool that allows you to share and manage unlimited contacts with any email address. You can also download and view your KeepM contacts on your mobile, laptop or iPod.

BEST FREE PIM'S (Personal Information Managers)

• RememberTheMilk. Try this free web based PIM if you want a simple free PIM to remember all your miscellaneous tasks from anywhere. Now your better half can also update your to-list or vice-versa!

If your organization uses MS Outlook extensively, you also might want to have a look at these Outlook based CRM solutions. They do not offer any free single user CRM freebies though.
