BEST FREE SMALL BUSINESS CRM SOLUTIONS

These are some of the best free CRM software products for small business out there. Mostly for single users, these free CRM 'carrots' are there to entice you to upgrade to their more full blown - advanced or multi-user versions, which is fair enough, but the free CRM products mentioned below are capable enough in their own rights.

• Relenta. Highly Recommended. Selected as one of our Best Small Business CRM's, Relenta Free Forever single user version is a great solution if you want a strong CRM. Please note though, it's restricted to 100 contacts, with no email marketing. You can upgrade to their advanced version with ease later if need be. Relenta uses David Allen's famous Getting Things Done (GTD) principle.

• Really Simple Systems (RSS) Free Edition. Recommended. RSS has everything you need to manage your customers, prospects and sales pipeline. It has all the CRM features and functionality of their award winning Enterprise Edition, just limited to two users and 100 companies. It is web based and is free, forever. If you need more data or advanced features then you can upgrade to their Premium or Enterprise editions. Really Simple Systems has twice won the Software Satisfaction awards for Best Small and Medium Business CRM system.

• ZohoCRM. Recommended. Zoho CRM empowers organizations with a complete relationship lifecycle management solution for managing organization-wide Sales, Marketing, Customer Support & Service and Inventory Management in a single business system. Their Free CRM is for 3 users, additional users pay a mere $12 p/m..

• Doorbell is a simple CRM system, contact list manager and sales tool. You can share contacts, leads and tasks with your team and always be prepared for your next call by keeping a history of who said what to whom. Doorbell has two free CRM product offerings: Doorbell Business Starter and Doorbell Contact Manager, as well as other CRM pay models for larger sales teams.

• SalesPush. 100% free CRM with no restrictions on number of users and data size. Good for managing your sales and marketing processes.

• Mx-Contact. A CRM for MS Outlook that will assist you with managing a contact list of any kind, whether it be customers, prospects, members, suppliers or whatever. MX-Contact is a CRM, Contact Management and Sales Automation package that runs inside Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002/3 or 7.

• FreeCRM. The FreeCRM hosted CRM solution compares favourably with the big price ticket webased CRM vendors like SalesForce. And their single user online crm is still free. Read our review of FreeCRM.

• Stazzle. A free CRM with the small business real estate agencies in mind.

• KarmaCRM. Apart from using Karma CRM to keep track of all your to-do's, you can associate them with your milestones, contacts, assignments and tasks. Team managers can also monitor and manage their sales teams and leads. KarmaCRM is still in beta but will always have a free version, and will introduce a tiered pricing model in the future.

BEST FREE CONTACT MANAGERS

• EssentialCRM. Recommended. Their free Contact Manager Basically serves you as a Scheduler, Contact Manager, and Outliner, and is a completely free CRM solution, although they also offer pay Contact Manager versions (surprise). If you are on a No Budget diet, you could safely consider EssentialCRM. Later on, if necessary, you can always upgrade to their PRO version, or export your data to something more sophisticated if required.

• Business Contact Manager for MS Access. Free contact manager for MS Acess users. Major features include: Contact Manager to enter and maintain all of your important customer information, Multi-User for up to 5 users, To Do List Management, Scheduling of Appointments, basic Reporting and documentation. The developer will also further customize for you (at a price, of course).

BEST FREE PIM'S (Personal Information Managers)

• RememberTheMilk. Try this free web based PIM if you want a simple free PIM to remember all your miscellaneous tasks from anywhere. Now your better half can also update your to-list or vice-versa!

If your organization uses MS Outlook extensively, you also might want to have a look at these Outlook based CRM solutions. They do not offer any free single user CRM freebies though.

While the CRM's and Contact Managers mentioned above are free, they don't all meet the definition of free software defined here..
