Whist customer relation management is not the primary function of the Magento Content Management System, it has some great functions as a way of keeping in contact with the people that have signed up or already paid for your products.
It is a platform for building a website but one that is extremely effective at capturing information from the customers. You can then do some handy excel work to segregate the customers by certain demographics and then pump them back into the Magento system to then mail out different promotions, newsletters or information to customers that you will find most appropriate.
My business card and leaflet printing site, Solopress, was hosted on a Magento site when we first started out but then needed to be developed further.
Magento is obviously not the greatest CRM software but it has handy functions that can help any business.
