If not, well sorry for you! Skype has introduced a great launch offer for customers - 33% discount until 1st June 2008

They have just made it easier and cheaper for people with Skype to call friends and family who aren't yet on Skype by introducing subscriptions with unlimited calls to landlines in selected countries.

Customers can now pay one monthly fee and can make up to 10,000 minutes of calls to landlines in up to 34 countries. There are different calling subscriptions (for example, Unlimited Country, Unlimited Europe or North America and Unlimited World) and customers can choose three payment options - monthly, quarterly or annual.

And Skype are giving away one month free for every two months bought until 1st June 2008. They have some cool tools, too..

Just got off the phone chatting to Steve Youngblood, CEO of SalesTrakr, (not) yet another web based (hosted) contact manager/CRM. That's no typo, btw - SalesTrakr IS missing a 'c' and an 'e', but not much else, by the sound of things!

Their tag line says SalesTrakr is FUN & EASY to use, two words that resonate with software users, but that help determine a (particularly CRM) products success or not.

I asked Steve a couple of pointed questions regarding their new(ish) product, and he came through with flying colors.

As they say, talk is cheap, but I sure look forward to putting SalesTrakr to the test to see how it meets expectations.

I often refer to the Task List / ToDo List / Hotlist / Activity List whatever as the heart of the CRM system. Well, I suppose the contact database is really that, but our lives revolve around the CRM Task list.

In a never-ending cycle of adding and completing tasks, we merrily go about our day. So, the functionality of the CRM Task list is, to me, paramount.

When evaluating your CRM, pay particular attention to the the proposed CRM's Task list. This is where your sales people will be conducting their day, after all, managing their follow-ups.

Is it easy to use, loaded with functionality? How quickly can you access your task list when you have that spur-of-the-moment thought? Can you send an email or make a call directly from that task? Is it practical - does it work like you do, or is it trying to dictate to you on their terms?

So pay attention to the Task List when evaluating a CRM or Contact Manager for your sales team. It could determine whether it will really get accepted and used.

I was quite annoyed actually - I bought an earlier edition of this book 2 years ago by renowned Adsense guru Joel Comm - "Adsense Secrets" - for about $80, but this 2008 edition is on limited time promotion for just $9.95!

Suspicious.. what's the catch, I thought? I only noticed as I bought the book, but the catch is this - Joel tries to upsell you his other exclusive courses when you order. You can just ignore them, but he is treating "Adsense Secrets" as a loss leader - a clever and confident move!

If you want to earn maximum Adsense income, "Adsense Secrets 2008" is essential reading.

I'm busy testing RememberTheMilk to manage my personal tasks. So far so good! RememberTheMilk (RTM) has a great, user-friendly interface and some neat features.

You can use it offline too to manage your tasks. You can share tasks with colleagues or friends and to some extent integrate to iGoogle. That I must still check out.

Adding tasks is easy and you can add direct from your toolbar rather than having to login every time.

Their use of AJAX to speed up use is fantastic, as this is often a downfall of web based task managers and online PIMS (Personal Information Managers).

After long-circulated rumours, it's now official - Google and SalesForce have joined forces in their bid to conquer The Enterprise, and hopefully inflict damage at Microsoft as a consequence.

Sad though that it seems this collaboration overlooks the small business market, which could also gain from such a conjoined CRM product.

SalesForce will now tightly integrate to Google Apps with its Calendar, Gmail, Chat and Google Docs (competitor to MS Office), as well as being able to display SalesForce components on your Google Start Page.

Nice! Sounds practical..
