Do you find the idea of building your own small business website too daunting? Or is your existing website buried 3 pages deep (if you're lucky!) in Google, never to see the light of day, or any meaningful traffic ie. visitors? Well, maybe you can learn from my experiences. I did exhaustive research before deciding what website builder to use for this website, back in 2004. Now, more than ever, I'm certain I made the right choice. SmallBizCRM is now a leader in the competitive CRM space.. do a Google search for these terms - free crm, best crm, small business crm and see where this website ranks. This site ranks extremely well for over 2000 CRM related terms.
At first I considered using DreamWeaver. A fantastic product, but the learning curve looked too steep, lengthy and expensive. More significantly, it gives you no guidance about other critical aspects of your website that at the time I wasn't really aware of. I'm refering to web site optimizing - something I initially didn't place too much importance on. Well, SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is a phrase that you are going to get VERY familiar with, when you build your own site. "...Yes, if you have a business, you should have a Web
site. Period. No question. Without a doubt." Then a friend suggested I check out a product called SiteBuildIt! He runs an extremely popular tourism portal, and some of his most successful affiliates use SiteBuildIt! My interest started pricking up when I read about the profitable results their users were achieving. What also intrigued me was the absolute cross section of small businesses using SBI! I finally felt like I was closing in on the answer to my problem. As importantly as having a functional website is one that is highly ranked on the Search Engines. Bluntly put - No Visits, No Point! Or, to put it another way - No Traffic, No Profits! SiteBuildIt!'s success is evidenced by the extremely high SE (Search Engine) rankings of the well over 100,000 small business owners that use their software. I figured they can't all be wrong, and decided to investigate further. After looking at their Quick Tour of the SBI! software, I saw I could dispense with the need and cost of using a small business website developer. In fact, I have found the SBI! offering really comprehensive, and something that will cater for my needs for the foreseeable future... without having to be in constant communication with a website developer. If you are looking for an affordable do-it-yourself website design application, SiteBuildIt! is it. But SiteBuildIt! is a lot more than that. Not only does it help you research your concept/s, to ensure they are viable, but it helps you, with the built-in wizards and prompts, dish up a well-structured, theme-based website in next to no time, just like the Search Engines order them! And you appreciate more and more extras as you go along, for example the website hosting - not just any hosting - but reliable, fast and free. Your domain name, which they even help you choose, is also yours to keep, even if you decided you no longer want to use SBI. You can either use the plentiful template options, create your own, or add to theirs with another HTML editor like DreamWeaver, if you insist. But there is absolutely no need to have any prior knowledge of HTML to get your site up and running. The SBI! forum community and support infrastructure is fantastic, too. I found them a great help with everything from brainstorming to how-do-I's to advanced technical queries to networking. They patiently assisted me with all my, at times embarrassing, newbie questions. Click here if you want to learn more about this remarkable tool for the ultimate in affordable DIY website design.
